Exterior
-Check tires (tire pressure, tread wear and side walls for cracks) each trip
- Also check wheel nuts before each trip
-Repack wheel bearings (Ounce a year)
-Check brakes (while bearing are serviced is best)
-Check hitching system on trailer and vehicle for any noticeable deficiencies
-Check light operation
-Inspect roof (check roof sealant, vent lids and for any damage)
-Keep roof clean to prevent early deterioration
-Walk around unit and inspect moldings and sealant for deficiencies
-Inspect undercarriage for leaks, mires hanging down and any other problems
-Check slide for proper operation and ensure slide seal in good condition
-Check all of your gear (water/sewer hoses, water regulator, portable appliances etc…)
-Clean your RV regularly to prevent black streaks and keep it looking great
-Check your awning operation and clean regularly
-Clean and lubricate steps to ensure they work smoothly
Batteries
-Before re installing batteries:
-Check fluid levels and top up with distilled water if needed
-Fully charge your battery one last time before installing on your trailer
-If you needed clean terminals with wire brush to remove corrosion
-Clean terminal ends on trailer battery leads
-Ensure you hook your battery up properly; call your dealer if you forget how
-Charge your battery before every trip
Lp System
-Propane leak and pressure test should be done ounce a year to ensure no leaks
-At beginning of season light all appliances and check operation
-Ensure LP tanks are full before each trip
-Have appliances serviced on a regular basis to ensure continued good operation
Interior
-Check detector and change batteries (Propane, smoke and carbon monoxide)
-Check monitor system operation of cupboard doors and drawers
-Check screens and window operation
-Check operation of cupboard doors and drawers
-Check roof vent operation
Motor Homes
-Change oil and filter regularly
-Regular tune ups (check owner’s manual for intervals)
-Change fuel filters (Check owner’s manual for intervals)
-Inspect belts
-Lubricate where needed
