As if Canada as a country wasn’t lovely enough, this particular location is as picturesque as it is idyllic. Elk Island Retreat
 


 

Elk Island Retreat is unique in that it's not just an RV campground, but is an authentic tipi campground as well. This secluded campground tucked back in the Albertan woods was assessed by the county as being in a High Priority Wildlife Habitat Unit. In addition to tenting sites and 4 tipis located on the property, Elk Island also offers trapper cabins complete with 12 wooden bunk beds, wood floors, and a wood burning stove. If you are wanting to take a group vacation, the trapper cabin could be a great option for you. The RV daily rental prices are very affordable as well. Each of these sites includes a firepit and picnic table to make your experience more enjoyable. Washrooms and changerooms are also available on site, too. There’s plenty to do at Elk Island Retreat as the grounds are littered with hiking trails, horseshoe pits, and a volleyball net. The retreat is located just 10 minutes away from shopping in Saskatchewan. This 93 site campground has only been opened for 5 years, and as a result is in top shape.The paved roads make traveling in and out hassle-free. The scenic views can be taken in while hiking, cycling, or strolling along the nature trails in the nearby Red Willow Park or Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park. This site also features a banquet center that accommodates up to 360 people, as well as an outdoor gathering spot for large groups.
